Thinking Ahead

Making pre-arrangements is a good way to review all of your options and take the burden off of your family at a time when it is difficult to think logically.

Taking into account that funerals are for the living, some individuals involve their families in the pre-arrangement process to include their input with their own personal wishes. Others make their pre-arrangements, and inform their loved ones of it afterwards. Either way families truly appreciate not having to make quick decisions at a difficult time.

Pre-arrangements may be funded or un-funded. If you opt to pre-pay your pre-arrangements with us, the money is put in an irrevocable trust with Chesapeake Bank. In the event that you have moved, or do move in the future, funded arrangements are transferrable from one funeral home to another. Often, individuals simply register their desires in a non-funded prearrangement file.

Another option is to stop by and pick up one of our funeral planning booklets which will give you an opportunity to write down all of the information your loved ones will need, in the comfort of your own home.
