Donald Vance Weis

Donald “Donnie” Vance Weis, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on May 18, 2024, surrounded by family. He was 76 years old. Born and raised in Highland Springs, Virginia, Donnie graduated from Highland Springs High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a passion for sports. He went on to become a dedicated and skilled steam fitter journeyman, working through Local 10 for 36 years. Donnie’s commitment to his trade and his work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers. Donnie was a devout Christian and actively served his community at Harvest Baptist Church. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his relationships and daily actions. His involvement in the church was a testament to his character and devotion to helping others. An avid bowler, fisherman, and softball player, Donnie found joy in sports and the great outdoors. Whether it was a perfect strike on the bowling alley, a big catch on the lake, or a home run on the softball field, he approached each with enthusiasm and skill. These hobbies were not just pastimes but also ways he connected with friends and family, creating countless cherished memories. Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his sons, Jimi and Wade (Paula); his brothers, James T. Weis III and Stephen L. Weis; his granddaughters, Kelsi (Dean) and Lindsi (Joey); and his great-grandchildren, Nehemiah and Scout. He was a devoted family man whose love and dedication to his family were unwavering. A funeral service to celebrate Donnie's life will be held 11AM on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at Vincent Funeral Home in Providence Forge. A visitation will be 2 hours prior to services from 9AM-11AM. Interment to follow services at 1PM in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Donnie are invited to attend and honor his memory. Donald Vance Weis will be remembered for his warmth, his unwavering faith, and his zest for life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and community service. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
