Kaye Loraine Connell

Kaye Loraine (Woodward) Connell, 75 of New Kent Co, VA went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2024, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Roscoe Connell; her sons, Christopher (Tina) and Matthew Connell; her grandchildren, Christopher Jr. (Danielle), Nathaniel, Abigail, Emma and Madelyn Connell. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, Barbara Testani, Rex (Mary Kay) Woodward and Tammy (Jack) Coapman, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dorothy Woodward. Kaye was born and raised in Endicott, NY, attended Maine-Endwell High School and Wilkes College. She was married to her high school sweetheart Rocky for 53 years. During that time Kaye lived in Bethlehem and Towanda Pennsylvania, Stuarts Draft, Quinton and New Kent Virginia. Kaye was an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother (also known as G-Ma and Nana) and friend. She embodied the best qualities of unconditional love, strength of spirit and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for all around her. Kaye was an incredible soul that had an effervescent personality and was always the life of the party. Kaye loved family very much. Family events, holidays, weddings, and vacations included everyone, siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, even sons and daughters of nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling, camping, buying and selling antiques, interior decorating and creating handmade crafts. Kaye’s social exuberance that many had come to know, led to many new and lifelong friendships. “The Six Pack '', friends which remained together since high school, neighbors that have adopted her and her family into their own families, friends that enjoyed her love of antiques and crafts, naming only a few members of her “extended family”. “All are welcome!” and “The more the merrier!” were statements made quite often for events and holiday get-togethers that she held. She was amazingly gifted and creative in her business and interior decorating for family and friends. Kaye was a successful businesswoman. She owned Kountry Kreations which operated out of a renovated freight/train station in Towanda, PA, manufacturing and selling her original gift designs and decorative accessories for the home nationwide for many years until retirement. Kaye had such a rich and loving impact on the lives of so many. She will live on in memory, and in many tales of adventure for those that knew her. A memorial service will be held on July 12, 2024, at Providence United Methodist Church, 4001 New Kent Highway, Quinton, VA. Doors will open at 10:00 AM, service to be held at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Kaye, to the Providence United Methodist Church.
