Adele Adkins Williams

July 31, 1927 - April 7, 2022

Adele Adkins Williams, 94, of Charles City, Va. passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Roscoe Williams, Sr.; her parents, Leonard Daniel Adkins and Annie Carter Adkins; two sisters, Lillian A. Wallace and Josie A. Davis; one brother, Roger O. Adkins. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a life-long devoted member of Old Elam Baptist Church. She loved celebrating Christmas, shopping and listening to music. Adele leaves to cherish her memory her three sons, Kenneth Roscoe Williams, Jr. (Chil’lon), Ricky Lee Williams, Leonard Duke Williams (Valenta); two daughters, Hollis M. Williams and Joyce Irene Williams. Wonderful memories will remain in the hearts of her four granddaughters, Danielle Foote (Michael), Alicia Williams, Candice Williams, and Lauren Williams; one grandson, Leonard Duke Williams, Jr.; one step grandson, DeMarqus L. Taylor; one great-grandson, Amir Duke Moore; a devoted niece, Geneva Johnson Brown; a devoted cousin and friend, Flossie Estelle Jones; two devoted caregivers, Melodie Tyler and Kim Banks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A funeral service will be held 10AM Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. A viewing will be from 5PM-7PM, Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment to follow services in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to each and everyone. There will be no repass as we mourn the loss and memories of our treasured Adele. Respectfully, we are requesting no visitors at this time.
