Alice Newland King
February 25, 1952 - June 13, 2022
Alice Newland King, 70, of Charles City, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Alice loved cooking and enjoyed hosting cookouts for family and friends. She also found leisure time in reading, doing puzzles, crocheting and knitting. Alice was a retired bus driver of over 40 years of service for the Charles City County Public Schools. Her dedication to the kids and the school system was evident in her longevity on the job. She is loved and will be missed by many. Alice was preceded in death by her baby sister, Debbie Perdue. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gaynor King; three boys, Michael King (Tracy), L.J. King (Stephanie) and Rodney King; eight grandchildren; three sisters and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held 11AM Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA.
