Betty Adams Crocker

Betty Adams Crocker, 79, of New Kent, VA passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019. She was a life-long, active member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and retired from the United States Post Office. Betty and her husband owned and operated the Red Hill Bed & Breakfast in Charles City for nineteen years. Putting others first was who she was, always caring for the needs of family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Ray Slusser and Anne Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Emmett Crocker; two sons and their wives, Blake and Betsy Crocker, Todd and Sherry Crocker; two brothers, Daniel “Woody” Adams and David L. Adams; four grandchildren, Brittany Bell, Ashley, Christopher and Alison Crocker; and four great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Kylie, Charleigh and Bayleigh. The family would also like to extend a thank you to Bon Secours Hospice, Comfort Keepers, Cheryl Eacho and Ruth Hennaman for all their help and comfort given to Betty during her illness. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 13th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. Interment will follow in Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Charles City, VA. The family will receive friends 5-8PM, Wednesday, June 12th at the funeral home.
