Billy "Glenn" Marshburn

September 20, 1961 - January 7, 2022

Billy “Glenn” Marshburn, 60, of Providence Forge, VA passed away from covid on Friday, January 7, 2021. Glenn started working in the HVAC business with his father when he was 7 years old. He had been the owner and operator of Glenn’s Heating & AC for the past 30 years. He loved working on cars. In fact, there wasn't much that Glenn could not fix. He was a gifted mechanic. In his youth he liked drag racing, and then he and his brother Mike, along with their father, got into stock car racing at the local dirt track, Virginia Raceway (now Virginia Motor Speedway) during the late 1980's. This love of racing evolved as the children grew up and they too got into the sport. Glenn was their biggest fan and enjoyed working on their cars. Glenn was devoted to and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Billy Ray and Sylvia Carter Marshburn, a brother Michael Wayne Marshburn, and his beloved dachshund “Daisy.” Glenn is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Shelton Marshburn; four sons Christopher Marshburn, Robert Hutchens, Jr. (Melissa), Randy Hutchens (Regan), Ryan Hutchens (Lauran); a daughter Melinda Beth Marshburn; two brothers Ronnie Marshburn (Debbie), and Donnie Marshburn; ten grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will be receiving guests at 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 14th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Tail, Providence Forge, VA. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
