David D. Seckora

December 14, 1942 - March 4, 2022

David D. Seckora, 79, of West Point passed away March 4, 2022. Born to Frank and Rose Seckora in 1942, David served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Arcet as the service manager and was a member of Father Jakubowski Council #8116 Knights of Columbus. David was a selfless person and served his church and community as much as possible. He loved both fishing and gardening, especially growing vegetables for friends and family, and flowers to display in church. He also greatly enjoyed birds and loved to photograph them as they visited his bird feeders, particularly the hummingbirds. David was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose Seckora; brothers, Joseph and Francis Seckora; and sister, Patricia Seckora. David is survived by his sister, Rose Marie Condon; and many nieces and nephews; his Sunday brunch group, close friends and of course, his church family. A funeral mass will be held 11 AM, Friday, March 11th at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3570 King William Ave., West Point, VA. A visitation will take place from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, with a rosary service beginning at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to O.L.B.S., 207 W. Euclid Blvd., West Point, VA 23181. Interment will take place in St. Theresa's Cemetery, West Point, VA.
