Donald Wilson Plante, 79, of New Kent County, Virginia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 19, 2021 He was born in Keene, New Hampshire and lived in Fitzwilliam but spent most of his life in Virginia. He was a resident of New Kent for over 40 years. Don was preceded in death by his parents Emilie and Elizabeth Plante and brother-in-law David Burke. He leaves his wife of 58 years Joyce to cherish his memories; his children Scott Plante (Glenda) and Jonathan Plante; twin sisters Judith Burke-Hauck (Tom) and Mary Jane Conkling (Earl) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Pastor Jeremy Smith, the deacons and friends of Hopewell Baptist Church in New Kent. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Don’s name to Hopewell Baptist Church New Building Fund at 5061 Hopewell Road, New Kent, VA 23124. A memorial service will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, October 9th at Hopewell Baptist Church.
