Gertrude Winbauer Gentry, 96, of New Kent, VA passed away May 14, 2022. Gertrude loved baking, and her lemon pound cake was voted “best in show” just last year. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers and all of her dogs and other animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Gentry; son, Gerald Ellwood Ellgass; sisters, Evelyn Enroughty and Josephine Knight. Gertrude is survived by her son, Glenn Ellgass; brother, Joseph Winbauer; two grandsons, Bobby Graves and Frank Haegele; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 18th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140 with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at 1 PM, the same day, in Holy Cross Cemetery, 1700 1st Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222.
