Joy Allen Thompson, 86, of New Kent, VA passed away February 27, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, R. L. “Pete” Thompson, Jr.; her children and their spouses Robert “Bob” and Donna Thompson, Rhonda and Bobby Boggs; three grandchildren Michael Philip Thompson, Rachel Boggs Hudson and her husband Lyman, and Bobby “Trey” Boggs; one great-granddaughter Brynnleigh Hudson. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 4th at Corinth Baptist Church, 11650 New Kent Highway, New Kent, VA 23124. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge Chapel is handling the arrangements.
