Mary Ann Hooper, 83, of West Point, VA was called home to be with Jesus on January 15th, 2022. After courageously battling a long illness, she was reunited with her beloved husband and son in glory. Although Mary Ann was small in stature, she was anything but in all other things. She was courageous, gracious, and loved fiercely. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and always maintained her faith despite what life threw at her. She will be sorely missed but we take heart in knowing that she is re-united with Temple and John in heaven. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Dorish, her son John Hooper, and her husband of 50 years, Temple. Mary Ann is survived by her four children, Robert T. Hooper Jr. (Sharon) of North Chesterfield, Roberta Wallingford (John) of Stafford, Renee Hooper of Henrico, and Ryan Hooper (Amy) of King William, her grandchildren; Sarah, Mary Kate, Jack, Taylor, and Kierlyn, her step-grandchildren: Erika, Kris, and Kevin, her brand new great grandchild, Matthew, two brothers; Francis (Sonny) and Andrew (Andy) Dorish and her sister Frances (Franny) Shakel. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” 2Timothy 4: 7-8
