Dea. Moses Alvin Robinson

February 17, 1934 - October 21, 2020

DEACON MOSES ALVIN ROBINSON, 86, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Riverside Tappahannock Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1934 to the late James and Idabelle Robinson of Stevensville, VA. Deacon Robinson was educated in the Edgehill Public School system. He joined the Wayland Baptist Church at an early age and served as a Deacon for many years. Deacon Robinson was a dedicated member of Wayland; however he enjoyed fellowshipping at Gethsemane and Zion Baptist church and other churches in the community. Deacon Robinson was joined in holy matrimony to Ruth Thompson on October 22, 1960. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary the day following his transition into eternal rest. He was employed with William Todd Farm for 43 years and later retired. Deacon Robinson enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to drag races, and in the early days attending wrestling matches. Deacon Robinson was preceded in death by his parents; James and Idabelle Robinson and his brother James Robinson. Deacon Robinson leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife of 60 years Ruth T. Robinson; three children Valerie (Jonathan) Peace; Alvin (Denise) Robinson, Sr., Stacey (Patrice) Robinson, Sr. all of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren Carlo and Kyle Cobb, Kathayia Stewart, Stacey Robinson, Jr., Alvin Robinson, Jr, Davon Robinson and Joshua Robinson; one great-granddaughter Kelis Crawley; one brother-in-law William Thompson; one sister-in-law Dorothy Gresham; two aunts Alma Chamberlain and Josephine Braxton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; a very special friend Margaret Draper and a special grandson Lamont Cobb. A graveside service will be held 1PM Saturday, October 31,2020 at Wayland Baptist Church, 10864 The Trail, Stevensville, VA 23161. A walk-through viewing will be held from 5pm – 7pm Friday, October 30, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181.
