William Matthew Harver

October 29, 1985 - November 30, 2021

William Matthew Harver, 36, of Virginia Beach, VA formerly of Gloucester, VA passed away unexpectantly November 30, 2021. Matthew was an outdoorsman almost from birth. He absolutely loved fishing, hunting, gardening and the beach. He found the love of his life, Galina and married her on the sand at Virginia Beach. Matt, as he was known to family and friends, loved people and they were drawn to his infectious smile and fun-loving personality. The career he enjoyed the most was in sales. He excelled in it, gaining numerous awards for his work. He found his all time favorite at Ion Solar, where he was currently employed, quickly rising to the leaderboards. He was an avid reader and student of the Bible and believer in his Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew is gone too early and has left an empty space in our family that will not be filled. “If love could have saved you, you never would have died.” He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather J. M. Harver and his maternal grandparents David W. and Vera M. Anderson. Matthew is survived by his wife of 14 years Galina A. Harver; his parents Keith and Teresa Harver; a brother Casey Harver and his wife Lacey; a loving sister Sara Harver; his paternal grandmother Phyllis Harver Walker; two nephews Gray and Christian Harver; a niece Abbey Harver and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 5th at Poroporone Baptist Church, 30071 The Trail, Shacklefords, VA 23156. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
