Earle King Bradbury

Earle (Brad) King Bradbury, 79, loving husband and a wonderful father celebrated his homecoming with the Lord on April 23, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry, of 52 years and his seven children, Vicky Cristilli, Scott Bradbury, Pam Hamilton, Kristine Rogers, Cathy Ragans, Karen Bradbury and Marsha Dixon and their spouses. He left the Marines with an honorable discharge after 14 years of service. After living in Orange County, California for 15 years, Brad and his family settled in Richmond, Virginia until he retired from Interbake Foods (FFV) after 20 years as a Superintendent. While living in California he earned his private pilots license and fulfilled his dream of flying. After his retirement, his love of the water drew him to West Point, VA where he and Terry lived for 25 years until his homecoming. Earle devoted his life to his family by always making them feel loved and secure. He had a passion for being on the water fishing or teaching his many kids to water ski. He had infinite patience when teaching his children and he loved lending a helping hand to anyone who asked. He leaves cherished memories of his love for life and others. We would like to give a very special thanks to his daughter Kristine for being by Dad's side for the past 6 months during his very courageous battle with cancer. Also to the hospice staff, Elsie and Sherrie of Bon Secours. A celebration of his life will be held at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, on Monday April 27, 2009. Friends will be welcomed from 1-2 p.m. with the service at 2. "Dad" - His love is like an island in life's ocean, vast and wide, a peaceful, quiet shelter from the wind, the rain, the tide.
