Laura Ann Nusbaum Krack

Laura Krack passed away peacefully at home on May 4th, 2021 at the age of 62. She was born in Bronxville, NY on July 19th, 1958 to Susan and Stephen Nusbaum. Laura was a caring person with a bubbly personality which allowed her to make friends wherever she went. She had wonderful adventures throughout her life. In her 20’s, she camped across the United States and saw countless state and National parks. She explored several overseas countries including Italy and Greece with her good friends. She graduated with a Bachelors of Education from Western Connecticut State University, and worked at the NY lotto in NYC. She met her future husband, Jeffrey Krack when he repaired her car. After a year of asking her out, Jeffrey was eventually able to win a date with her by gifting her lots of flowers. A trend that continued every holiday, birthday and Anniversary. They were happily married for 29 years and had 2 daughters, Katelynn Krack and Elizabeth Krack. She enjoyed planning the family vacations to Busch Gardens, Disney World and Rhode Island. Every family vacation was filled with things to do. There was always an itinerary and a map. All sights and events were well documented with photos. She also enjoyed going on cruises where she got to have even more experiences such as parasailing, rum tasting and Segway tours Laura found enjoyment in taking care of children and bonded with several families over the years. She often met families because of her dogs, Buddy, Sport, Duke, Luke, Lilly and Molly who were always happy to meet new people. She would frequently sing in jingles and make up songs about everyday things such as feeding the dogs. Her hobbies included doing puzzles, gardening, watching movies/TV shows, going to museums and going to the beach. Her favorite shows were MacGuyver, Matlock, CSI, NCIS, StarGate, Star Wars, Star Trek and Law and Order. Her DVD collection could rival a Blockbuster store. Laura will be dearly missed by her family, friends and loved ones. A wake will be held from 5pm-7pm, on Monday May 10, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge VA. Burial and services will take place at a later date in her home state of New York.
